Leg Veins
Leg veins are similar to varicose veins, but are much less severe in nature. Referred to as thread veins or spider leg veins, these appear near the surface of the skin and spider out in a tree-branch pattern. These veins can be unsightly and some cause a dull throbbing or aching sensation. Factors for people developing leg veins have been attributed to hormones, pregnancy and the menopause, as well as obesity, leg injuries or prolonged period of standing; however the two most typical factors are age and heredity.
Sclerotherapy and cosmetic laser surgery are some of the best methods available to treat leg veins.
