Excess Sweating

Everybody sweats, it’s a known fact. Heat, exercise, illness and even stress or pressure can cause a person to perspire; it’s a natural and necessary pert of being human. Excess sweating is perspiration beyond the norm for the average person; this is called hyperhidrosis.

Excess sweating can be confined to a specific area such as the palm of the hands, or the armpits or feet, or it can affect a person more generally, meaning they sweat all over. Excessive sweating that affects the entire body is normally indicative of a medical condition and should be reported to your GP, as it can indicate heart problems, nerve damage or anxiety.

Focal, or confined, sweating is more of an annoyance, or embarrassment than a serious medical condition, though that doesn’t make it any less real or less important for the person suffering with it. The problem is there normally is no specific cause, it just happens, or it can be brought on by a combination of things. The good thing is this can be treated effectively by using Botox.
