Active Acne
Active Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that affects many people from their teen years through to adulthood. It is caused by blocked pores and typically presents itself as a cluster of spots, though they can be individual. Referred to as blackheads, white heads or pustules this acne normally begins during the teen years, and often will clear up over time, but for many it persists even into adulthood.
This skin condition can be mild and more of a nuisance, or it can be very severe and in some case cause acne scarring. Even simple acne can cause a lack of self confidence and in severe cases it can cause depression. Along with the over the counter remedies (which do not always work) there are cosmetic procedures available including face peels and laser treatments.
